Just recently North Court Investigations have seen a big rise in the amount of surveillance operations taking place in hotels in central London. These are mostly from clients overseas who have either a loved one coming over on business and they would like to know who they are with and what they are doing etc. In addition to marital instructions we have also seen a rise in corporate surveillance at hotels to check what a director or partner in a company may be doing or meeting whilst away from the office.
Before the subject arrives we send out agents to undertake a full recce of the hotel. This is done to ensure the agents assigned know how many entrances and exits there are to the hotel, how many bars or restaurants may be inside, where the car park is situated, pool, gym etc. So when the subject arrives the agents know the layout of the hotel.
When a subject is booked in at a hotel we always recommend to the client that the agents book in to the hotel as well. Having the private investigators booked in and staying at the hotel ensures there are no issues with hotel security asking questions. Undertaking surveillance in a hotel is certainly not a glamourous assignment, the private detectives have to be on alert at all times to wait for the subject to be spotted. This could be during breakfast or late at night when returning from a meeting or night out. Once in the hotel the agents have to gather information relating to who the subject is with and what they are doing. If it is a marital assignment the big question is, does the subject go to his or her room in the evening on their own and do they have any visitors during the night.
Many hours can go by and nothing happens and the subject may not be seen, this can be somewhat tedious for the private investigators assigned but they still have be on alert and ready to act if the subject suddenly appears. Its not just London where hotel surveillance takes place (however this seems to be the busiest city at the moment), we have had assignments in hotels all over the UK.
All of our surveillance operatives are highly trained and experts in their chosen field, they have no criminal records and are mostly are from a military or police background.
For piece of mind on what a loved one is doing whilst visiting the UK or if you have a business partner coming to the UK and would like to know who they are meeting with get in touch with a reputable firm of private investigators.
