Bank Conducts Surveillance Exercise to Root Out Breaches
Germany’s largest bank, Deutsche has taken positive steps to root out what it believes are serious breaches of data privacy within its organisation. To investigate the situation the bank employed the services of private investigators and as well as its own internal security services who conducted detailed surveillance exercises in a bid to identity company flaws and indeed those responsible for the serious breaches.
TheĀ private detectives employed by the bank targeted the prime suspects, following their every move and reporting on their activities including the people they were meeting and locations they were visiting.
The breaches of data were reported to be in contradiction and violation to privacy laws and a report provided to the legal representative of the bank reports that a number of employees, including a supervisory member, a manager andĀ even a company share holder were key to the investigation and offences disclosed.
It is unknown at this time in the investigation just how many private detectives were involved in the operation and the bank is not commenting at this stage of investigations but the whole affair is just another unfortunate privacy law incident that follows in the footsteps of recent scandals involving Germany’s largest rail company Deutsche Bahn and telecom giant Deutsche Telekom
